Good morning members of the Edmonton Catholic School Board. I am Rabelle Rodas; a Grade 10 student at blessed Trinity Catholic High School. Today, I am here(predicate)(predicate) to c tout ensemble on the carpet about schooltimes having the right to search the lockers of students. Now, many students would in all likelihood disagree because it is invading their privacy. However, the main purpose here is the natural rubber of the students and of the school. Thus, there is a legal law permitting searches of students. Also, in schools where searches ar being exileed by police incumbents, the ultimate Court of Canada clear-cut that a secondment is non essential if teachers and administrators are conducting a search of or seizure from students independently of the police.

But, this is only acceptable if the police officer and the school staff have thin grounds for considering that something hot is being committed. That is, their proof must be based on credible information and carried out in a reasonable manner. The students must understan d that searches are not done indiscriminate! ly and just for fun. The school staff and administrators conduct searchers if, and only if, they put up something suspicious among the students possession of weapons or drugs for example.
